Adam's Group: Week 10

We were in West Virginia this week and had many great meetings.
One of the highlights of this week
was staying with the Childers, who were the
parents of David Childers. He was with
the Crown Quartet that was killed in a crash
in 2004. They were such an encouragement and we
had a wonderful time with them!

Singing at one of our meetings...

Riding horses at the Childers' farm...

Taking off...I loved it!

Mr. Childers gave each one of us English horse
riding hats. They were such wonderful
people and God really blessed that visit.

Adam and His group

Adam got to visit New York City and they had a blast...

The NYC skyline as seen from New Jersey...

Adam in Times Square (sorry it's small; I can't fix it)

The group in Rockefeller Plaza...

All of them in Times Square.

Thy had great meetings in that area
and really enjoyed being there with the churches.

Family History and Family in South Dakota

My mom's Dad and Mom grew up in South Dakota.
This past weekend I got to go visit the
farms they used to live on....

This is my mom's great grandparents farm...

This is her grandparents farm.
This was a beautiful view of the barn
as we were driving down the road...

And here is the house!

And this is my family that I got to see, some of which
I have never met. From left to right...my mom's cousin, Alan;
Alan's daughter, son-in-law, and grandson; my mom's
Aunt and Uncle, Eloise and Dwayne.

It was really neat to see and meet them!

Sights of South Dakota

Our group has been all over in South Dakota
and we have seen a lot of different things.
We have had a great time!

We all got to wear OUR OWN CLOTHES!!!
This, for those who have never traveled with a group,
is a luxury. We dressed up, took many pictures, and
went out to a restaurant to eat.
It was a blast!

Mt. Rushmore! WOOHOO!! It was so incredible...
ten times better than the pictures.

We also went to the Badlands which is mountains
in a desert made out of mud. Many of
them have green, red, and orange layers
which makes it beautiful.

I spotted sunflowers growing on the side
of the road and had them stop.
I had never seen sunflowers naturally growing.
It was the most beautiful thing I have seen!

We also went to an old town called Wall Drug.
It was started by a lady and her husband
who were trying to attract settlers
so they advertised free iced water for all who
stopped in....and yes, I had some free water ;)

The 3 mile path I hiked on the edge of the Canyon.
I did it all by myself!
