Life on the Road! October 2012

We now work for Crown College as Representatives, and so
far, we have seen God do great things!
Here is the month of October...

Our first week, we had the privilege to be at the Southeast
Christian School Convention in Myrtle Beach, and
this is the view we had each morning!!! INCREDIBLE!

Here is what it looks like when we set up (minus the background;
we were in a gym for a school). We have been in 30 different
meetings so far this month, and have spoken to over 2,000 teens.

During our time in North Carolina, we were able to go to
Andy Griffith's hometown...That was sooo much fun
since we are both Mayberry fans!

As we travel, we find very few places to sit and relax.
This is how I found Adam one day as I
was looking around at books. Apparently, he found
a good one to sit and read!

While we were in West Virginia, we went hiking down in the
New River Gorge Bridge which was a blast!

We made it to the bottom!!! Don't be fooled by the looks
of its height. It is actually over 800 feet tall.

This was a beautiful old mill called Grist Mill
where we also hiked around and took pictures...

This one is my favorite!

More to come from November!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

Time flies, but it has been an awesome first year of marriage!!
God is so good to us!!

Catching Up!

So here is an update on our life!
Graduation 2012!

As a couple, Adam and I received the Aaron & Darci Brown
Award, which was such a great honor!

We did it!!! Adam's family...

My family!

My brother, Kent, graduated from high school...

....Adam and I had the awesome privilege of being the leaders
of a tour group from our College. We traveled in the
Southeastern U.S.: TN, VA, GA, FL, AL, NC, SC, and MS.

We had three great girls to travel with. From front to
back: Faith Shelton, Brettnay Varner, and Rochelle Robertson.

God truly blessed our summer! We saw many saved, and met
many amazing people! I can honestly say that we were
given an amazing group...so many memories that will last a
lifetime and friendships that are priceless!

This is just a picture of my husband and I! Love him!!!

AND NOW: CHRISTMAS EVE & CHRISTMAS!!!!

These are the most delicious and fun Christmas
cookies ever! They are candy cane sugar
cookies and they actually have a peppermint flavor!
You make a normal sugar cookie dough,
but add a secret ingredient (not really) of peppermint
extract along with vanilla. Then split the
dough in half, and die one half red. Next, take 2 tsp
of the white dough and 2 tsp of the red.
Roll them both into a 4 inch string, and then twist
them together. Place on a cookie sheet,
bend one end ( make sure it is a big bend cause
if not the hook will attach to the cane), and
cook in a 400 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
YUM!!!!

Us in front of our tree...forgive the light lines..
they are from the coffee table :)

Traditional building of  a gingerbread house...

My super cute salt and pepper shaker...

The final product (after much stickiness and snacking)

 Christmas morning...opening the stockings FIRST!

This is what we pulled out of them!!!
And we both had a $10 limit......  ;)

Next: BREAKFAST!
I made us each a personal breakfast casserole.
They were cute, DELICIOUS, and we didn't have
left overs (which we had no room to hold).

Present Time..... forgive most of the faces  ;)
We got up at 7:00 am to accomplish
all our Christmas morning things before church
which was at 11:00.

After church, we had Kyle and Kristy over for
lunch and the afternoon. This
is the only picture I have of them unfortunately.
You can also see the living room :)

Lunch is complete and I look worn out...
It wasn't that bad. We had potatoes au gratin, green
bean casserole, stuffing casserole, cresant rolls,
and a delicious ham. Kyle and Kristy provided the
beautiful ham for us to cook up!!!

We had a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
The services at church made it
even more special. They were such a blessing
and everything was beautiful!

Love My Husband!

Isn't It Amazing

I absolutely LOVE this song! So powerful and
thought provoking. It is truly AMAZING
how the Lord chose to come to earth, the King of all
the Universe. He could have done it ANY
way, yet he chose to come as a simple little baby.
What a Savior!!!

Hope you enjoyed it!

Thanksgiving Day!

We had a wonderful break! Adam was off
for the whole weekend so we had a blast...

Just us....

Our Decorated table ready for the FOOD  :)

This is our "Thankful Board". There are six shapes:
Two leaf designs, a pumpkin, acorn, flower, and apple.
There is one shape for each day of November
until Thanksgiving Day. Each Day we wrote what we
were thankful for. This made us realize how
many blessings God gives us each day and how often
we forget to be thankful for them. It's amazing
to look back over it and see all that had happened in
those 24 Days!

These were so good and so much fun to make together...
They are pecan oatmeal snow cookies. We sprinkled
sugar on top and grated a hershey's chocolate mint bar on top.
YUM!!!

The food is done!!!!!
We have: Tomato basil garlic turkey (center dish),
stuffing, loaded mashed potatoes, green
bean casserole, roasted sweet potato casserole (can't see it),
gravy, rolls, and the best of all....PUMPKIN PIE!

Here is the sweet potatoes....OUR FAVORITE!

Digging in!

Our evening walk...to work off all we had eaten  ;-)

Everything turned out wonderful!
So much to be thankful for!!!!
